2009...What??

So it's almost the end of January and that's so weird...2009. Not much has gone on here. At the beginning of the month we went on a tour to see the Big Buddha, it was so cool. It was huge. Josh's schedule has not been so perfect, he was in a training class and which was days, now he is working the mid shift which means we will see each other about 1 to 2 hours a day. It sucks, but we will get through it. After that schedule is over he will be going back to what he was originally working in Oct. 1130pm-8am. My job is going good, it is slow (this allows me to work on my homework) which is nice, but I am ready for something that keeps me busy and gives me the ability to advance. I am looking on base so we will see what happens. My schooling is going, I took my accounting final last week and I am just waiting to see what my grade is. I started a new class this week and in a couple more weeks I will be starting another class. I am so ready for my schooling to be done. Josh has passed his PT test, and he had to take it 2 weeks early. No more mandatory PT for him, but we are both going to be working out on a regular basis. I am so proud of him. Josh and I are ready to see what this year will bring. Getting a webcams for ourselves and my family was the best thing I have done. Miss everyone, love you all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR. Last year was a good year, hope this year is even better. We didn't really do much for New Year's Eve. We went to dinner with some friends and then over to one of their houses and played Taboo and talked...others drank the good stuff... I drank Dr. Pepper (how lame am I). There was no ball drop of any sort...it was some bell being hit something about 108 hits for something..who knows. I had a good time last night, thanks to my friends. Too bad I couldn't be with family, but I know you guys will have a good time. Love You.

Month of December

So it's almost christmas..which is crazy, that also means that we have been here for almost a year. Josh has been working when I got off work so we don't see each other too much, but oh well..life goes on. Josh has the week of Christmas off so that will be good for him. I will be making Christmas dinner with all the fixing...yummy.

Last weekend was our x-mas/ Dave's going away party. It was fun, kind of weird drinking with your coworks and staying out till 2 am. Work has been ok, not so busy. Since Dave left my boss told me that I was able to do a little bit of his job. I have also come to realize that our base is just like high school...there is so much drama, I am the oldest out of my friends..sometimes it gets annoying. I love all my friends, but sometimes I just want to kickem...I am so mean. Well have a good night. Love you all.

Happy Thanksgiving

So today was our first thanksgiving actually by ourselves including Josh's friend Nick. I had a great time cooking, very time consuming but all good in the end. I cooked ham, stuffing, crossants, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. I am thankful for my husband, my family, my job, and so much more. I can't thank everyone enough for what they have done for myself and my husband. Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving.

On My Mind

When some asks for advice, you think they would take it. I have given advice and it seems that whenever I am asked what to do, I feel like I am repeating myself. It's really annoying. I have learned so much the past month since Josh has been working a different shift. I have read a couple of books and it has helped so much. I just wish someone would listen.

Nice To Get Out

Last night Josh and I had the best time. Our neighbors invited us to go out with them on their anniversary to TGI Friday in Tokyo. We left the house around 5:15pm and road the train for about 2 hours. Lets just say thank god my friend's husband was there because I would have gotten lost. There are way too many people on the train sometimes rude, nice, or they laugh at the faces you make cause you get pushed around. So we finally got to TGI Fridays and when we were walking there it was kind of weird because I kept seeing these guys standing along the wall, I think they were from Kenya. They maybe spoke a couple words in English, well what these guys wanted were our guys going into strip clubs. Needless to say I felt very uncomfortable when Josh would get approached, but he just kept walking and didn't really pay any attention to it. :) Any who we got to TGI Friday, the atmosphere was great there were quite a few American's there and the food was pretty good. The price on the other hand was a bit ridiculous, $61.60. That would have bought us 4 meals at Coco's. When we were done we walked over to Hard Rock Cafe which I have never been before and you could also see a great view of the Tokyo Tower. We headed back at 9:30pm and finally got home at 11:30pm. Josh thought he had to be to work at 4am which sucked, but someone texted him right before we got home and he didn't have to go in till 9am. Thank god because I felt bad that he would have only gotten 3 hours of sleep. So a 5 hour train ride, $61 meal, hanging out with friends and seeing great views; priceless.

Get My Game On

So this week I have decided that I really need to get my game on and work out. Monday I walked a mile. Tuesday I ran a half mile and thought I was going to die. Wednesday I was on my way with a friend and we didn't even get past the tower next to us and she was to cold. It was also getting dark. Today I ran a mile, I was so proud of myself. I couldn't believe I did it, I had to stop twice to stretch my calves out, but I did it. I was mad that yesterday I wasn't able to do what I wanted to, so I had to push myself. Can't wait to see what's next.
